Raises issue in International Conclave at New Delhi, suggest adoption of Finland model, more perks and privileges to Teachers.
Delhi, July 16 // Young Writer of Jammu and Kashmir and Bharat Gaurav Awardee Dr Zakir Malik Bhallesi has raised the issue of starting Indian Education Services (IES) on the pattern of IAS.
Addressing an International Education Conclave at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi, Dr Zakir Malik Bhallesi said that India should start Indian Education Services (IES) so that to bring changes in the present scenario of the education system. He said that although India is going to switchover to New Education Policy and Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan are focussing on education and prioritising this sector, there is a need to adopt few practices of Finland which is very small country but having top ranking in education sector. He said that if a small country like Finland can take care of respect and prestige of teacher, India can also do it by giving more support and in terms of perks and privileges to teacher so that they feel like nation builders in real sense. “We must free teachers from the tension of low income so that they concentrate more on class than on generating income sources to survive in the era of sky rocketing prices”, he suggested.
Explaining the need of IES, Dr Zakir Malik Bhallesi said that we are having National level services for Administration, Forest, Revenue, Police, Foreign Services, we are not having National level services for Education which is most important to build nation. He suggested to start Indian Education Services so that specialised thrust is given to the education field. ‘We can start services from administrative part of the education. There should be an IES Officer on the posts of Chief Education Officer and above and we can have JKES Officer for the post of Zonal Education Officer, Headmaster and Principals’ he said adding that there is need to enhance salary structure of teachers at the level of atleast Gazetted officers and we can provide additional increment and privileges to those teachers who are pergorming well in the Schools’. He added that when we will boost morale of teachers in Government Schools, there will be wonderful results in government schools.
It is pertinent to mention here that this International Education Conclave was organised by Nizamia Education Group headed by its CEO and Founder Dr Maqsood Ahmed in which Ministers, Member Parliements, Vice Chancellors, Chairperson of various Boards, Professors and Academicians participated and addressed the Conclave.
