Baramulla : Security forces spot suspicious movement near army camp, open fire
A cordon and search operation is underway near the Indian Army camp in Uri in Baramulla district after the camp sentries (guards) spotted suspicious movement near the boundary wall of the camp.
The guards opened fire after they spotted movement at 3 am on Monday. They opened fire at the men moving around the camp. The police have said that there may have been casualties during the exchange of fire but no dead bodies have been found as yet.
The area has been cordoned off and security forces are carrying out a search operation to nab the militants. It is suspected that militants, if present, are hiding in a forest nearby.
Meanwhile, the security forces have spotted two persons near a nallah close to the army camp. Both of them are currently being interrogated.
